Old-school sweatpants had one big flaw: the hems. They dragged on the ground, soaked up every puddle in the parking lot and frayed into a sad mess by the end of the season. Joggers fixed that, and the Port & Co PC78J Core Fleece Jogger does it without making a big production out of it.

It’s a 7.8-ounce cotton/poly fleece that’s warm without being bulky, the kind you can wear from the morning drop-off line to a Saturday tournament to the couch without changing. The cuffs at the ankle are made from the same fleece as the legs, so they hug lightly and keep the hems right where they belong. The waistband is elastic with a matching drawcord on the outside, which means you can cinch it up without fishing around for a hidden string, and there are front pockets for your phone, keys and the snack you swore you weren’t going to eat. The tag is removable, too, so it won’t scratch, and it’s easy to swap for your own label.
