You can spot a Champion sweatshirt from across a parking lot, and it’s usually because of that little “C” on the sleeve. The Champion S450 Powerblend® Quarter-Zip Sweatshirt has it stitched on the left cuff, which is about as subtle as a famous logo gets. Champion has been making athletic wear since 1919, so they’ve had some time to figure out what people actually want in a sweatshirt.

What you get here is 9-ounce Powerblend fleece, a 50/50 mix made with US-grown cotton. It’s warm and soft without being bulky, the kind of weight you can wear all fall and well into spring. The collar is lined with fleece, so it feels good zipped all the way up, and the zipper is covered at the top so it doesn’t rub your chin. The shoulder seams are set a little forward, which gives it a cleaner line across the back and keeps the seam out of the way when you’re carrying a bag.
